You're already home!

Football -- A man's true sport.

I almost get a high sometimes before and during the game.  Let me take you where I go every Friday during the Fall:

The lights flicker on while the voltage sends a low hum through the stadium.  There's a potent smell of dirt, grass, nearby concessions, and, most of all, sweat.  In an almost militant marching pattern, the cleats hit the pavement in a familiar succession before arriving to its home onto the turf.  The crowd murmurs random conversations as the team stretches and warms up, simultaneously clapping between reps.  The band plays constantly, sometimes overpowering the announcer in the booth.  He mumbles mispronunciations of the starting lineup's names.  After the patriotic pledge, coin toss, and coordination of the kickoff, the whistle pierces the air with an unusual sense of dignity and American pride.

Well let's see.  They started with a relatively durable sphere.  'They' kicked it.  Now, all of a sudden, we have the NFL.

I mean, think about it... You have probably 5 guys, with one being the quarterback, and they throw the ball around trying to get it between two poles.  Now, one has to take into consideration: the linemen, the receivers, the backs, and the defense for those; the rules, the refs to regulate them, the flags, the downs, the techniques, the plays--  It's a full fledged replica of a war.  --And yet, I play it. :)

One might question, what I'm trying to prove.  It's a good point.  It's not just Football I'm trying to approach.  Things evolve. We have come from a round thin cylinder to a car in a relatively short time.  The food you eat now, in most cases, is nothing like what the Plains Indians or Jesus' disciples ate.  (Considering the herbicides and additives and artificial 'stuff'.)

There's only a few exceptions in which people do not try to change for the good.  'What if we did this?' 'What if we did that?'  The point is, it's not whether or not you have changed for the good.  (If it is, then you could have a problem.)  --It is whether or not you know where 'it' came from.  'This' or 'That' could very well work, figuratively typing ;).  But do you know what 'There' was?

Moral of story and put to a point: Remember where you came from.
